Symptoms

When you use a 32-bit program to print a document from a 64-bit version of Microsoft Windows, you may experience any of the following symptoms:
  • Some or all of the objects on the page are not printed. A blank page may be ejected from the printer.

    Note Some printer devices will not eject blank paper.
  • You may receive a Stop error message that is similar to one of the following:

    Stop error 1
    STOP 0x0000001E (parameter1, parameter2, parameter3, parameter4)
    KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
    Stop error 2
    STOP 0x00000050 (parameter1, parameter2, parameter3, parameter4)
    PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
    Stop error 3
    STOP 0x000000D5 (parameter1, parameter2, parameter3, parameter4)
    DRIVER_PAGE_FAULT_IN_FREED_SPECIAL_POOL
    Note The parameter values vary.
The problem may occur only occasionally because the timing of the issue is very specific.

This problem may occur in the following scenario:
  1. You use Remote Desktop Connection or Terminal Services to connect to a 64-bit version of Windows.
  2. You print a document from a 32-bit program.
  3. You log off from the Remote Desktop Connection or from the Terminal Services session while the print job is still printing.
