To resolve this issue, make sure that a Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 directory object exists for the mailbox that you are trying to move. The Exchange Server 5.5 directory object must exist on the server that is running the Site Replication Service (SRS) in the target site, even if there is no Exchange Server 5.5 server in the target site.
Make sure that the mailbox object that you are trying to move is replicated before you try to move the mailbox. To do this, configure a two-way recipient connection agreement between the source and the target sites. To do this, follow these steps:
- Verify the SRS server that is responsible for the target site. To do this, view the properties of the configuration connection agreement for that site.
- Verify that an Exchange Server 5.5 directory object exists for the mailbox that you are trying to move. To do this, use the Exchange Server 5.5 Administrator program to perform a directory export on the Tools menu while connected to the SRS server of the target site.
- To replicate the mailbox object on the target site, create a two-way recipient connection agreement from the source site to the target site. The recipient connection agreement must be a two-way connection agreement even though the administrative group may contain only Exchange Server 2003 SP1 servers.
