To resolve this problem, use one of the following methods.
The problem has already occurred
To resolve this problem after it has occurred, delete the iSCSI registry subkeys.
To delete the iSCSI registry subkeys, follow these steps:
- Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
- Delete the following registry subkeys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\iSCSI
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\iSCSI\Discovery
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\iSCSI\Discovery\Authentication Cache
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\iSCSI\Discovery\Send Targets
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\iSCSI\Discovery\Static Targets
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\iSCSI\Discovery\Tunnel Address
- Quit Registry Editor.
- Double-click the iSCSI Initiator 1.06 installer file, and then click Repair.
The problem has not already occurred
To prevent this problem, uninstall Microsoft iSCSI Initiator 1.06 by using the Add or Remove Programs tool in Control Panel before you upgrade to Microsoft iSCSI Initiator 2.0.
