To resolve this problem, change the
Admin-Display-Name value of the Exchange Server 5.5 site to match the corresponding Admin Group object in Active Directory. To do this, follow these steps.
Warning If you use the raw mode of the Exchange Server Administrator program (
admin /r) incorrectly, serious problems may occur that may require you to reinstall Microsoft Windows NT Server, Microsoft Exchange Server, or both. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems that result from using raw mode incorrectly can be solved. Use raw mode at your own risk.
1. | Start Exchange System Manager. |
2. | Note the name of the Admin Group that corresponds to the Exchange Server 5.5 site. |
3. | Quit Exchange System Manager. |
4. | On a computer that has Exchange Admin installed, click Start, click Run, type cmd, and then click OK. |
5. | Type the following command, and then press ENTER: Drive:\exchsrvr\bin\admin /raw |
6. | In Exchange Admin, locate the Exchange Server 5.5 site to which you want to add an Exchange Server 2003 server. |
7. | On the File menu, click Raw Properties. |
8. | In the Object attributes list, click Admin-Display-Name. |
9. | In the Edit value box, type the name that you noted in step 2. Then, click OK. |
10. | Quit Exchange Admin. |
