You cannot sustain a connection for longer than 3 to 10 minutes between a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 (SP1)-based computer and a Linux-based computer through a site-to-site Internet Protocol security (IPsec) virtual private network (VPN) tunnel. When the connection is lost, the Linux-based computer tries to reestablish the connection by using Quick Mode. However, the Linux-based computer cannot reestablish the connection.
