After you apply this hotfix, you must configure the
Preserve Exchange 5.5 version information registry value. To do this, follow these steps:
- Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then press ENTER.
- Locate and then right-click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeMTA\Parameters\
- Point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
- Type Preserve Exchange 5.5 version information to name the new value, and then press ENTER.
- Double-click Preserve Exchange 5.5 version information, type 1 in the Value box, and then press ENTER.
- Quit Registry Editor
