You receive a "The product is not currently loaded" error message when you try to export from SmartList in Microsoft Great Plains


Symptoms

When you try to export data from SmartList in Microsoft Business Solutions - Great Plains, you receive the following error message:
The product is not currently loaded
This problem occurs if you start Personal Data Keeper (PDK) before you start Microsoft Great Plains.

Workaround

To export data from SmartList in Microsoft Great Plains, follow these steps:
  1. Quit Microsoft Great Plains.
  2. Quit PDK.
  3. Start Microsoft Great Plains.
  4. Start PDK.
  5. On the View menu in Microsoft Great Plains, click SmartList.
  6. Click the object that you want to export, and then click Excel or Word.

Steps to Reproduce the Behavior

  1. Start PDK.
  2. Start Microsoft Great Plains.
  3. On the View menu in Microsoft Great Plains, click SmartList.
  4. Click Account Summary.
  5. Click Excel.

Expected results The Account Summary list exports to Microsoft Excel.
Actual results You receive the error message that is mentioned in the "Symptoms" section.
