Install SNA Manager

SNA Manager is automatically installed when you install the Host Integration Server client. To install the Host Integration Server client, follow these steps on the computer on which you want to install the Host Integration Server client:
1.Insert the Host Integration Server 2004 CD into the CD drive of the client computer.
2.Click Start, click Run, type CDDrive:\setup.exe, and then click OK.

Note CDDrive represents the drive letter of the CD drive.
3.In the Microsoft Host Integration Server 2004 Installation Wizard, click Microsoft Host Integration Server 2004 Client, and then follow the instructions to complete the steps in the wizard.
If you do not want to install the SNA Manager on the Host Integration Server client, follow these steps:
1.Run the Microsoft Host Integration Server 2004 Client Installation Wizard.
2.On the Custom Installation page, expand SNA Application Support.
3.Click to clear the SNA Manager check box.
4.Click Next, and then complete the steps in the wizard.

Use SNA Manager to focus on a remote subdomain

After you start SNA Manager, you can manage a remote subdomain or a remote server. To connect to a remote subdomain or a remote server, follow these steps:
1.Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Microsoft Host Integration Server 2004, and then click SNA Manager.
2.In the Microsoft SNA Manager Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in, right-click Microsoft SNA Manager, and then click Open SubDomain.
3.Click Remote SNA SubDomain, type the name of the remote subdomain or of the remote server name, and then click Finish.
Note If you specify the SNA server or Host Integration Server subdomain name, SNA Manager tries to locate the subdomain by using a network broadcast. Many network routers are configured to prevent broadcast forwarding. If the Host Integration Server computer is located on the other side of a router from the SNA Manager client computer, SNA Manager may not connect to the subdomain.

Host Integration Server 2000

Install SNA Manager

SNA Manager is automatically installed when you install the Host Integration Server client. To install the Host Integration Server client, follow these steps on the computer on which you want to install the Host Integration Server client:
1.Insert the Host Integration Server 2000 CD into the CD drive of the client computer.
2.Click Start, click Run, type CDDrive:\setup.exe, and then click OK.

Note CDDrive represents the drive letter of the CD drive.
3.In the Microsoft Host Integration Server 2000 Setup program, click Install Administrator Client, and then follow the instructions to complete the steps in the Setup process.
If you do not want to install the SNA Manager on the Host Integration Server client, follow these steps:
1.Run the Microsoft Host Integration Server 2000 Administrator Client Installation Wizard.
2.On the Select Features page, expand SNA Application Support.
3.Click SNA Manager, and then click Entire feature will be unavailable.
4.Click Next, and then complete the steps in the wizard.

Use SNA Manager to focus on a remote subdomain

After you start SNA Manager, you can manage a remote subdomain or a remote server. To connect to a remote subdomain or a remote server, follow these steps:
1.Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Host Integration Server Administrator Client, and then click SNA Manager.
2.In the Microsoft SNA Manager MMC snap-in, right-click Microsoft SNA Manager, and then click Open SubDomain.
3.Click Remote SNA SubDomain, type the name of the remote subdomain or the remote server name, and then click Finish.
