  • The File System column of a volume is blank.
  • The Capacity column of a volume and the Free Space column of this volume display the same number of gigabytes. Additionally, the % Free column of this volume displays 100% even though this volume is not actually empty.

Workaround

To work around this problem, right-click the volume in Windows Explorer. Then, click Properties to examine the free space of the volume.

Note The name of the file system is still not displayed for the third-party file system. Additionally, Windows Server 2003 needs several minutes to calculate the free space for a volume that is large.
