The Microsoft Exchange System Attendant service may crash in Exchange 2003 Service Pack 1 after you modify a Lotus Notes address that is replicated by Microsoft Exchange Connector for Lotus Notes

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario. You configure Microsoft Exchange Connector for Lotus Notes to synchronize directories between IBM Lotus Notes and Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Service Pack 1. After you modify an IBM Lotus Notes unique identifier number (UID) address that is replicated by Microsoft Exchange Connector for Lotus Notes, the Microsoft Exchange System Attendant (Mad.exe) service may crash in Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Service Pack 1.

You may also receive the following error message:
