You use a server publishing rule or a Web publishing rule in Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2004, Standard Edition to publish to multiple networks. In this case, you may receive an error message that states that the listening IP addresses for the publishing rule are not valid.

A server publishing rule or a Web publishing rule publishes to a single network object or to a network set (collection of network objects). When you create a publishing rule, a list of IP addresses for the adapter that is associated with the network is created. This list may include a specific IP address or a collection of IP addresses.
This issue occurs in ISA Server 2004, Standard Edition when you include specific IP addresses. The existing list of IP addresses is overwritten when you add specific addresses, and you receive an error message.
Note This issue is fixed in ISA Server 2004, Enterprise Edition.

To work around this problem, you can split the server publishing rule or the Web publishing rule into multiple rules. Each rule listens to a single network. For Web publishing rules, you must also split the Web listener. The Web listener specifies the networks and the addresses to which the Web publishing rule listens.
