To resolve this issue, use one of the following methods:
Modify the security settings in Internet Explorer
To modify the security settings in Internet Explorer, follow these steps:
- Start Internet Explorer.
- Click Tools, click Internet Options, and then click the Security tab.
- If your computer is connected to the Internet, click Internet, and then click Custom Level.
If your computer is connected only to a local intranet, click Local Intranet, and then click Custom Level. - In the Security Settings dialog box, make sure that Automatic logon with current username and password is enabled under User Authentication.
- Click OK two times.
Delete the stored user name and password
If your computer is running Microsoft Windows XP or Microsoft Windows Server 2003, follow these steps to delete the stored user name and password for the Microsoft CRM Web site:
- Click Start, point to Settings, point to Control Panel, double-click User Accounts, and then click the Advanced tab.
- Click Manage Passwords.
- Delete any stored usernames or passwords that reference the Microsoft CRM server.
If your computer is running another version of Windows, follow these steps:
- Start Internet Explorer.
- Click Tools, and then click Internet Options.
- Click the Content tab, click AutoComplete, click Clear Passwords, and then click OK.
Grant access to members of the Domain Users group
To grant members of the Domain Users group access to the C:\Windows\Temp folder on the Microsoft CRM server, follow these steps:
- In Windows Explorer, locate the Temp folder in the Windows folder or in the Winnt folder on the Microsoft CRM server.
- Right-click the Temp folder, click Properties, and then click the Security tab.
- Click Add to open the Select Users, Computers, or Groups dialog box.
- In the Look in list, click Select the Domain.
- Click the Domain Users group, click Add, and then click OK.
- Make sure that the check boxes for the following permissions are selected, and then click OK:
- Read & Execute
- List Folder Contents
- Read
Add the Microsoft CRM Web site to the list of local intranet sites in Internet Explorer
- Start Internet Explorer.
- Click Tools, click Internet Options, and then click the Security tab.
- Click Local Intranet, click Sites, and then click Advanced.
- Add the Microsoft CRM server name, the Microsoft CRM server fully qualified domain name (FQDN), and any host header or alias names that you created for the Microsoft CRM URL.
- Click Close.
Enable Integrated Windows Authentication in Internet Explorer
- Start Internet Explorer.
- Click Tools, click Internet Options, and then click the Advanced tab.
- Verify that the Enable Integrated Windows Authentication check box is selected.
Set the proxy server setting in Internet Explorer
- Start Internet Explorer.
- Click Tools, click Internet Options, and then click the Connections tab.
- Click LAN settings, clear the Use a proxy server for your LAN check box, and then click OK.
