To determine whether a 32-bit version of a performance counter object is implemented in versions of Windows Server 2003 for Itanium-based systems, follow these steps:
1. | On the Itanium-based computer, copy the Perfmon.msc file from the System32 folder to the Syswow64 folder. |
2. | Click Start, click Run, type cmd, and then click OK. |
3. | Change the directory to the Syswow64 directory. |
4. | Type the following command, and then press ENTER: mmc.exe /32 perfmon.msc This command runs System Monitor in 32-bit emulation mode. |
5. | Determine whether the performance counter object is available. |
If a performance counter object does not appear when you run System Monitor in 32-bit emulation mode, but it does appear when you run System Monitor as you typically do, the performance counter object is not implemented as a 32-bit version.
