Resolution for Windows Server 2003
This hotfix resolves the problem only on a computer on which a clean installation of Windows Server 2003 was performed. This hotfix does not resolve the problem on a computer on which Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 was applied to the release version of Windows Server 2003.
Resolution for Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 1
To resolve this issue on Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 1, follow the steps in the Microsoft Knowledge Base article 836605. These steps describe how to modify the security settings on the %systemroot%\system32\wbem\logs folder so that the Network Service account has the Delete permission.
