You receive a "replace your hard disk drive" error message while you use a tape drive in Windows Server 2003

Symptoms

While you use a tape drive on your Microsoft Windows Server 2003-based computer, you may receive the following error message:
The driver has detected that device Device_name has predicted that it will fail. Immediately back up your data and replace your hard disk drive. A failure may be imminent.
Although the problem may affect the tape drive, the error message mentions only the hard disk drive. The error message does not mention the tape drive or any other storage devices.

When you receive this error message, a storage device or its media may soon fail. This device may be a hard disk drive, a tape drive, or other another type of storage device. If you receive this message while you are using a tape drive, immediately back up your data and replace the tape drive and its media.
