When you install Microsoft Security Bulletin MS04-031 and Microsoft Security Bulletin MS04-032 by using the /integrate switch, the installation stops responding and you may receive the following error message. You receive this error message when you use a deployment tool or when you manually access the image share by using a network startup disk and then you invoke the Winnt.exe file.When you install Microsoft Security Bulletin MS05-039 by using the /integrate switch, you may receive the following error message. You receive this error message when you manually access the image share by using a network startup disk and then you invoke the Winnt.exe file.

To work around this problem, use the appropriate method.

You installed Microsoft Security Bulletin MS04-031 and Microsoft Security Bulletin MS04-032

Remove the Uniproc subfolder directory references from the Dosnet.inf file.

You installed Microsoft Security Bulletin MS05-039

Remove the Umpnpmgr.hp.dll file references from the Dosnet.inf file.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
