More information

Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2004 helps provide secure virtual private network (VPN) functionality for roaming clients. Two common scenarios for you to enable roaming clients to connect to internal network resources are:
  • You want to enable part of your workforce to connect to your internal network from anywhere in the world by using a local Internet connection.
  • You want to quarantine each VPN client when it connects to your internal network to make sure that the VPN client complies with your security policy. VPN clients can retrieve the software or updates from the internal network that they need to be able to comply with your security policy. However, the VPN clients do not have general access to corporate resources.
