You may be redirected to the wrong page when you log off Exchange 2003 and then log on again by opening Outlook Web Access in the same Web browser window

Symptoms

When you try to use Microsoft Outlook Web Access, you may experience the following problem. When you log off Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 and then log on again by opening Outlook Web Access in the same Web browser window, you may be redirected to the wrong page. This problem does not occur if you close the Web browser window and then log on to Exchange 2003 by opening Outlook Web Access in a new Web browser window.

This problem may occur when you are not using the default URL to log on to Exchange Server 2003. The default URL for Exchange is http://Your_Site_Name/exchange. For example, if your Exchange environment is configured to use a URL such as http://Your_Site_Name/Your_Virtual_Directory_Name for Outlook Web Access, you may experience this problem.

Resolution

Service pack information

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Exchange Server 2003. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
