Symptoms

When a Lotus Notes client uses the Microsoft Exchange Notes Connector to send an e-mail message to a Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 user, the body of the received e-mail message is missing.

Cause

This issue occurs when the following conditions are true:
  • The body type of the e-mail message is Text (TYPE_TEXT).

    Text (TYPE_TEXT) is the standard text field that is used by Lotus Notes. Text (TYPE_TEXT) stores data in the Lotus Multi-byte Character Set (LMBCS).
  • The body of the e-mail message has multiple lines.
Note This issue does not occur when the body type of the e-mail message is TYPE_COMPOSITE (Rich Text).

Resolution

Service pack information
