You only receive the error message when you try to start SNA Manager on the server that is running Host Integration Server 2004, and you do not have administrator permissions.
If you do not have administrator permissions, and you try to start SNA Manager from a client computer that is running the Host Integration Server 2004 client, SNA Manager starts. However, you can only view the SNA configuration.
The modes and the security permissions that are used for SNA Manager access and for SNA Manager functionality follow:
On the Host Integration Server 2004 server

On the Host Integration Server 2004 client

Note "Full Control" lets you grant read permissions or write permissions to a user record.
You can view these permissions, or you can modify these permissions by using the Security settings for the Host Integration Server properties in SNA Manager. To do this, follow these steps:
- Start SNA Manager.
- Right-click the subdomain that you want, and then click Properties.
- Click the Security tab, and then click Permissions.
