Introduction

If you upgrade from Microsoft SNA Server 4.0 or Microsoft Host Integration Server 2000 to Host Integration Server 2004 Standard Edition, the Transaction Integrator (TI) is not upgraded. This upgrade does not occur even though the Host Integration Server 2004 Setup program may indicate that TI will be installed.

More information

To install Transaction Integrator, you must install Host Integration Server 2004 Enterprise Edition or Host Integration Server 2004 Developer Edition. The TI was formerly known as the Microsoft COM Transaction Integrator for CICS and IMS (COMTI). You can use the new Transaction Integrator (TI) on Microsoft Windows-based computers to extend the functionality of existing IBM mainframe and IBM midrange AS/400 line-of-business applications.
