Issue
Error - 'A get/change first operation on table 'PP_Prepayment_Setup' failed accessing SQL data'. occurs when checkingthe Revenue/Expense Deferral Setup window afterrecently upgrading to v7.0.
Resolution
1.Make a BACKUP of the database which can be restored in case an undesired data loss occurs.
2.Write down or take a screen shot of the defaultscurrently set up in the Deferral Setup window (Setup l Financial l Deferral) in 6.0. You will need to refer back to this to verify thedefault settings after the next steps.
3.Go to File | Maintenance | SQL and choose the product of Revenue Expense Deferrals and the Company from which you are receiving this error message.
4.Choose the table of Deferral Setup (there are multiple files titled this; however,choose the one that does not have version numbers behind it. It simply is called 'Deferral Setup'.
5.Mark each of the six boxes including'Recompile', 'Update Statistics', 'Drop Table', 'Create Table','Drop Auto Procedures', and 'CreateAuto Procedures'.
6.Try to access theDeferral Setup window by going to Setup l Financial l Deferral. At this point, you should be able to access the window without error.
7.Verify that thedefaults in the Financial Deferral (Setup l Financial l Deferral) are correct. Make any necessary changes and save.
