More information

The following issues may occur.

You receive two authentication screens on a J-T51 mobile device or a J-SH51 mobile device

When you try to use a J-T51 mobile device or a J-SH51 mobile device from Vodaphone to access Outlook Mobile Access, you receive two authentication screens instead of one authentication screen.

Cause

This issue occurs because of the current design of the Web browser that is used on the Vodafone mobile devices.

Workaround

There is no workaround for this issue.

You receive an error message when you use the BACK key

When you try to use the BACK key on a Vodafone mobile device, you receive an error message that is similar to the following:
Cannot display this page.
This issue occurs while you are connected to an Outlook Mobile Access session.

Cause

This issue may occur when the following conditions are true:
  • You are connected to Outlook Mobile Access.
  • You are connected by using a Secure Sockets Layer connection.
  • You are using the J-Phone J-Skyweb version 4.0 Web browser.
This issue does not occur in later versions of the J-Skyweb Web browser.

Workaround

There is no workaround for this issue.

Emoji characters are changed to several other characters

When you try to use emoji characters on your Vodafone mobile device while you are in an Outlook Mobile Access session, each emoji character that you use is changed to several other emoji characters.

Note Emoji are Japanese characters for people to use in text messages on their cell phones.

Cause

This issue occurs when the emoji characters are handled. This issue occurs because the mobile controls that are used to send the emoji characters change the byte sequence. Therefore, the characters that are posted are different from the byte sequence that is received.

Workaround

There is no workaround for this issue.

Many emoji characters are added to an e-mail message

In an Outlook Mobile Access session, when you reply to an e-mail message or when you forward an e-mail message, many emoji characters are added to the e-mail message.

Cause

This problem may occur if the original e-mail message has emoji characters in the subject field or in the message body field. This behavior occurs because the escape character is missing from the sequence for an emoji character.

Workaround

There is no workaround for this issue.

You receive a "connection stopped" error message

After you type the address of your Outlook Mobile Access connection in the Web browser of a J-T51 mobile device or a J-SH51 mobile device, you receive an error message that is similar to the following:
Connection stopped.
You then receive a blank page.

Cause

This issue may occur if you do not include a forward slash at the end of the address.

Workaround

When you type the address of your Outlook Mobile Access connection, include a forward slash at the end of the address. For example, type the address so that it is similar to the following: http://Server_name/oma/
