This Customer is Part of a National Account

Question:

I imported my customers. Now, when I try to delete a customer, I receive the error message, This customer is part of a national account . You can't delete this customer unless you remove it from the national account first. How can I resolve this?

Answer:

Pull up the Customer Card under Cards - Sales - Customer . In the upper right-hand corner, there is a field called Parent Customer ID . This is what flags the customer as a National Account. If you drill back on the Parent Customer ID field, the National Accounts Maintenance window opens. You can remove the customer from the Customer ID list, or delete the National Account if you do not use National Accounts. If you look in the RM00101 (RM Customer Master), you will see a column called CPRCSTNM (Corporate Customer Number). This is what is telling the system this customer is a National Account. The RM00105 (RM National Accounts Master) stores these National Accounts.
