Documents not appearing on Historical Aged Trial Balance when within date range

TechKnowledge Content

Question:

We are printing the Historical Aged Trial Balance in Payables Management. The report option has a Print/Age date of 12/31/03. When we print the report, only two documents print on the report, but if we print the report with a Print/Age date of today, there are a lot of documents before 12/31/03 that print on the report. Why aren't all the documents before 12/31/03 printing on the report with the Print/Age date of 12/31/03?

Answer:

When setting up the report option, there is a selection box which indicates whether the report should print the documents using the GL posting date or the document date. New report options default to print by GL posting date. So, unless that option was changed, the report is generated using the GL posting date. Print the report using the document date and then the documents will appear correctly. The documents are not printing on the report with the 12/31/03 date because they posted to GL after 12/31/03.
