You receive a "Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0005'. Invalid procedure call or argument" error message when you open a newly published report in Microsoft FRx WebPort

Issue


When you open a newly published report in Microsoft Business Solutions - FRx WebPort, you may receive the following error message:
Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0005'. Invalid procedure call or argument: 'left' /frxwebport/Report.asp, line 62.


Resolution

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
  1. Right-click Start, click Explore, locate the WebAdministrator.exe file, and then double-click WebAdministrator.exe file to launch the Web Administrator.
  2. Verify you are not using any special characters in the WebPort folder names. Note WebPort does have difficulty reading characters and will give an error if special characters exist.
