Issue

Error -'There are Unposted Transactions Attached to this Budget'occurs when selecting a budget item in Budget Changes Entry.

Potential Causes

The budget cost category being chosen for the change order is saved as an existing transaction in a batch. You cannot do a Pending Change Order for a budget item that has unposted transactions.

Resolution

Since entering budget items that have unposted transactions are not allowed on Pending Change Orders, choose Edit | Delete Row to remove the project information from Budget Changes Entry. Then return to Change Order Entry and update the Change Order Status to Unapproved or Approved. Now return to Budget Changes Entry and select your cost category.
