Issue
Error - 'Could Not Find Key in Registry" occurs when adding a destination to Integration Manager 7.0. The existing sample integrations work, however, new integrations cannot be created. When an attempt to add the destination is made, the error occurs. This error also occurs when going to Help | About Integration Manager.
Resolution
Integration Manager will need to be reinstalled in order for the error to go away.
1. Make a backup of the IM.MDB file. This is the files that contain the integration information.
2. Uninstall Integration Manager and all its adapters from Add/Remove Programs within the Control Panel.Next, rename the IM.DIC and IM folder. The IM.DIC is located in the local Dynamics directory.
3.Remove the following keys from the registry, ifthey exist:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Great Plains
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Great Plains\Integration Manager
4.Install Integration Manager 7.0. When installing, select ALL the adapters, except the Siebel Adapters. It is necessary that all other adapters be installed. They can be removed individually later.
5. Reboot the workstation even if not prompted to do so. Once the machine has rebooted, destinations should be able to be added in Integration Manager without error.
6. Unwanted adapters can be removed by going to the Control Panel and selecting the unwanted adapters. It would be recommend to remove the 6.0 adapters to avoid any confusion when creating new integrations for 7.0.
