Symptoms

The 'Item already exists in collection' error message appears when you try to perform a sales order process transaction with the SQL Optimized adapter in Microsoft Great Plains Integration Manager.


Resolution

1. Make a backup of your company database or files.


2. Restart the workstation.


3. Log on to Microsoft Great Plains.


4. Run Check Links on all Sales tables or Purchasing tables, depending on what applies to you. If you still receive the error, set up the integration with the standard adapter only if you are doing the sales order processing transaction. The standard adapter will provide a more detailed error message for the situation.


5. If you receive a message to run Check Links on Multi-Currency setup tables, perform this step as well.


6. Attempt the integration.


7. If you still receive the error, set up the integration with the standard adapter only if you are doing the Sales Order Processing Transaction. The standard adapter will provide a more detailed error message for the situation.

Status

This problem was first corrected in Integration Manager 8.0 Service Pack 4.
