Issue

I have recently modified my check and now I get errors when I print the check.

Resolution

Changing the size of the check can cause the checks to have strange errors. These errors can include alignment errors or errors on the actual computer. You can check the sizes with the methods listed below. The size of the body is found by taking the number of pixels in the body * the Records per report body. Click Tools , click Section Options , click Header , and then click Open .

Note - When changing field sizes on the check the size will move 12 pixels at a time by default. If you need to move 1 pixel at a time you would go to Layout in the Tool bar and make sure there is not check mark next to grid. This will allow you to move one pixel at a time. To return to the default go back to Layout and place a check mark next to grid again.

Check with stub on top

You will add the number of pixels in these sections.
H1 + B* + F2 + F = 504 pixels

Defaults:
72 + (12*12) + 48 + 240 = 504

Check with stub on Bottom

You will add the number of pixels in these sections.
H1 + B* + F1 = 504 pixels

Defaults:
312 + (12*12) + 48 = 504

Check with stub on Top and Bottom

You will add the number of pixels in these sections.
PH + B* + F1 + F2 + B* + F1 + PF = 792 pixels

Defaults:
60 + (12*12) + 36 + 324 + (12*12) + 36 + 48 = 792

The individual fields can be resized, but the size of the total check must remain the same.
