I use MDA (multi-dimensional analysis) and Revenue/Expense Deferrals. Where should I assign the analysis codes?
Answer
If you assign the analysis code when doing the initial entry, the MDA Analysis Code will be updated for the full amount. If you want it updated in the same periods as the Revenue/Expense Deferral journal entries, you must assign the Analysis Code to each journal entry in the ALTRN batch in General Ledger. You must be posting 'to' to do this. The ALTRN posting settings are available in the Setup - Financial - Deferral screen.
