Knowledge Content

Issue

If I enter a tax amount in the Purchase Order Entry window (Transactions|Purchasing|Purchase Order Entry) or in the Receivings Transaction Entry window (Transactions|Purchasing|Receivings Trx Entry), where does the tax account come from that will get updated with the tax amount?

Resolution

The posting account for the tax amount will be taken from the tax detail if you entered a specific tax detail in the Purchasing Tax Detail Summary Entry window (Transactions|Purchasing|Receivings Trx Entry|Expansion Button).
