Canadian Payroll CPP deduction when employee turns 18 in Microsoft Dynamics GP

Issue


If an employee turns 18 mid year does the program recalculates CPP? We got notice of a reassessment from Revenue Canada with respect to this problem. The employee's birth date was set up correctly.



Resolution

CPP will start deducting the month after the employee turns 18 and will stop taking the month after an employee turns 70 within in Canadian Payroll.
