Installing Manufacturing and receiving initialization message

TechKnowledge Content

Question:

I'm attempting to install manufacturing. When I launch eEnterprise I get the message that Manufacturing needs to be initialized, but when I go to eEnterprise Utilities the option is not there. I have tried installing Manufacturing using the SQL scripts that are located under the SQL folder, but I'm sti ll getting the error. What is wrong?

Answer:

In this case, it appears that a partial install of Manufacturing was done. There were Manufacturing storedprocedures that were partially created. When the mfgprocs.cmp script was ran when Manufacturing was being installed using scripts it didn't re-create these stored procedures. Once the partially created mfg stored procedures were dropped and the mfgprocs.cmp script was ran again and the stored procedures were correctly created and the users could log into the company.
