Issue
Error - "Projects can only be closed if checklist has been completed" occurs when trying to close a project. I went into Routines | Project | Checklists, but I cannot find a closing checklist. What checklist is it referring to?
Resolution
The Project Closing Checklist can be found under Transactions | Project | Project Closing.
1. Place the cursor on the project number that you wish to close and then click the expansion box next to project number.
2. There will be a checkmark in the items that are completed.
3. All items in the checklist must be completed before a project can be closed.
Note - Due to changes in the structure of how receipts were tracked, projects updated from version 5.x or prior will not close through the Project Closing routine. Please see Knowledge Base Article 855401 for steps on closing those projects.
