You receive an error message when you try to enter a Transaction for a Multidimensional Analysis (MDA) Account that has an Analysis Type of Optional

SYMPTOMS

You receive a "No codes have been entered or the codes entered have zero amounts for an analysis group with Analysis Type of optional. Do you want to continue without entering any codes or amounts for the codes?" error message when you drill back on the MDA account to allocate the amounts as you try to enter a Transaction for a Multidimensional Analysis (MDA) Account that has an Optional Analysis Type.

CAUSE

The Analysis Group ID does not total 100% in the Account Analysis Defaults window.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this error, enter or change the percentages for the Analysis Code ID's so they total 100%. To change the percentages, follow these steps:

1. Click Cards, click Financial, click Analysis Defaults, and then select or enter the Account.

2. Select the Analysis Group ID, and then click to change the Percent for the Analysis Code ID's so they total 100%.

3. Click Save, and then click X to close the window.
