Installing Manufacturing

TechKnowledge Content

Question
I am trying to install Manufacturing. I go to Dynamics Utilites to initialize Manufacturing and the option is missing. I have tried

reinstalling off of the CD again and entering my registration keys and I still don't have the option. What can I do?

Answer
You can do the following to get Manufacturing installed.

Go to the drive that eEnterprise is loaded. eEnterprise>SQL>Company.

In the company folder there should be several scripts that start with mfg.

In query analyzer you will want to run each one of these scripts against the company's database.

YOU WILL WANT TO RUN THE MFGTABLE.CMP FIRST.

After you execute MFGTABLE.cmp, the order of the remaining scripts doesn't matter.

When you are finished with that, you will want to go to the System folder.

In query analyzer you will want to run each one of these scripts against the Dynamic's database.

ONCE AGAIN YOU WILL WANT TO EXECUTE THE MFGTABLE.SYS FIRST.

After the MFGTABLE.SYS is executed against the DYNAMICS database, the remaining mfg scripts can

be ran in any order.

These steps should install manufacturing.
