Cause

This problem occurs when the following conditions are true:
  • An item in the Information Store has item-level permissions configured.
  • A user deletes that item.
If these two conditions are true, an access violation error occurs in the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service process. This access violation error occurs when the item is parsed during the Deleted Folder test pass operation that Isinteg.exe runs.

The Deleted Folder test pass runs when one of the two following command-line options is specified in the isinteg command:
  • - alltests
  • - delfld
