"Active Directory still contains objects that are not replicated" warning message is logged to the ADC Tools log file in Exchange Server 2003 when you run ADC Tools

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

When you install the Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Active Directory Connector (ADC) and you use the ADC Tools to verify replication between the Microsoft Exchange 5.5 Server directory and the Active Directory, entries that are similar to the following are logged to the ADC Tools log file:
ADC object replication verify DateTime
Active Directory Connector Object Replication Check completed. No unreplicated objects found.
Warning: Active Directory still contains objects that are not replicated to the Exchange 5.5 directory. If you have just run Connection Agreement Wizard, allow time for directory replication to complete, and then rerun the verification task in Step 4. Otherwise, run the Connection Agreement Wizard.
If you run the Connection Agreement Wizard again, the same warning message that tells you that Active Directory still contains objects that are not replicated to the Exchange 5.5 directory is logged to the ADCTools log file.

Cause

This problem occurs because the Active Directory Object Replication Scan feature of ADC Tools processes all objects that have mail attributes, although the object may not be replicated by the Active Directory Connector. For example, the Active Directory Object Replication Scan feature processes users, contacts, groups, and InetOrgPerson objects. These objects are not replicated by ADC.
