To work around this issue, use one of the following methods.
Method 1: Replace characters in the notification message
For example, if you experience this issue with a notification message that contains Korean characters, replace the Korean characters with characters that are part of the ASCII character set, such as English characters. To do this, follow these steps:
- Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Microsoft Exchange, and then click System Manager.
- Under Your Organization Name, expand Tools, expand Monitoring and Status, and then click Notifications.
- In the right pane under Notifications, double-click the notification that you want to change.
- Replace any characters in the message subject or message body that are not part of the ASCII character set with ASCII characters.
- Click OK, and then close Exchange System Manager.
Method 2: Manually verify the status of the Exchange computer
If you receive a blank notification message, you can manually verify the status of the Exchange computer. To verify the status of the Exchange computer, follow these steps:
- Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Microsoft Exchange, and then click System Manager.
- Under Your Organization Name, expand Tools, expand Monitoring and Status, and then click Status.
- In the right pane, verify the status of the Exchange computer.
