More information

In Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server, you access this setting as follows:
  • Open Exchange System Manager, expand Global Settings, expand Internet Message Formats, and then right-click an SMTP policy.
The Apply content settings to non-MAPI clients check box appears on the Message Format tab.

In Exchange 2003, messages that are sent by Internet clients are stored in MIME format, and no message conversion occurs when the messages are read by clients. Therefore, Exchange 2003 does not require the Apply content settings to non-MAPI clients setting.

For more information about Internet message formats in Exchange 2003, see the "Messaging Clients" chapter of Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Help.
