FIX: You receive an "XSD2EDI failed to convert XSD" error message when you try to validate an EDI instance in BizTalk Server 2004

Symptoms

In Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004, if you try to validate an electronic data interchange (EDI) instance in BizTalk Editor by using the EDI Extensions Schema Editor, you may receive the following error message:
XSD2EDI failed to convert XSD: Compiling repository failed.

Resolution

Service pack information

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for BizTalk Server 2004. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

Hotfix information

The English version of this hotfix has the file attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table. This problem was corrected in BizTalk Server 2004 Service Pack 1.
