FIX: You cannot view the Message Details in HAT when BizTalk Server 2004 is running under a heavy load condition

Symptoms

In Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004, when you try to view the Message Details for a message through the Health and Activity Tracking (HAT) UI, the HAT UI stops responding (hangs). This problem may occur if BizTalk Server is running under a heavy load condition.

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Status

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section. This problem was corrected in BizTalk Server 2004 Service Pack 1.

More information

To remove this hotfix, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, click Settings, and then click Add/Remove Programs.
  2. In the list of installed programs, click this hotfix, and then click Remove.
  3. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft SQL Server, and then click SQL Query Analyzer.
  4. Change the selected database to the BizTalk Server 2004 MessageBox database. By default, this database is named BizTalkMsgBoxDb.
  5. Open the Uninstall_msgboxlogic.sql file. This file is located in the folder where you originally extracted this hotfix.
  6. Run the removal script. To do this, use one of the following methods:
    • Press F5.
    • On the Query menu, click Execute.
