Introduction

This article describes how to obtain and install the Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 post-RTM store rollup and lists the Information Store updates that are included in the rollup. The Exchange Server 2003 post-RTM store rollup includes the information store updates that are available since the release of Exchange 2003. The fixes that this rollup contains are cumulative. That is, updates that have a particular version number contain all the updates that have an earlier version number.

Prerequisites

This update requires Exchange Server 2003.

Installation information

You do not have to install this rollup if you have installed the Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Service Pack 1 on your Exchange computer.

The Setup program tries to stop the appropriate services so that the installation can finish without having to restart the system. (The Setup program restarts the services that it successfully stopped.) However, if a file that is to be replaced is in use and the service cannot be stopped (such as antivirus software), you are prompted to restart your computer after the Setup program has finished running.
