By default, Access checks are enabled in Microsoft Windows Server 2003. Therefore, when you create a Microsoft COM+ server application in Microsoft Windows Server 2003, the Enforce Access Checks for this application option is enabled by default.

By default, access checks are enabled at the application level and are disabled at the component level in Windows Server 2003. These access checks decide how operations that relate to the General Accounting Module (GAM) will function. You must click to clear this option so GAM-related operations function smoothly.
