Symptoms

When you apply a value for the retry count or the retry interval of the Message Queuing (MSMQT) adapter in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004, you may notice that the values do not appear to take effect after you apply them.

Cause

This issue occurs because the MSMQT adapter does not support the retry count value or the retry interval value. Although you can set these values, the values are ignored.

This problem may also occur when you use Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 to set a value for the retry count or the retry interval of the MSMQT adapter in the BizTalk Administration Console or BizTalk Explorer.
