Error Message When You Run Excel 2003 on a Computer That Has a Beta Version of the Multilingual User Interface Pack (MUI) Installed

Symptoms

When you run Microsoft Office Excel 2003 on a computer that has a beta version of the Multilingual User Interface Pack (MUI) for Microsoft Office 2003 installed, Office 2003 may quit unexpectedly and you may receive the following error message:
Microsoft Excel has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

When you view the data in the error report, the report contains an error signature that is similar to one of the following:

Cause

This problem is caused by using the Beta 2 or Beta 2 Technical Refresh version of the Multilingual User Interface Pack (MUI) for Office 2003 with the original released version of Office 2003.

Resolution

To resolve this problem on a computer that has the original released version of Office 2003 installed, remove the Beta 2 or Beta 2 Technical Refresh version of the Multilingual User Interface Pack (MUI) for Office 2003, and then install the original released version of the Multilingual User Interface Pack (MUI).
