Symptoms

In the Performance Monitor tool, performance counters for Microsoft Commerce Server are not available.

Cause

Sometimes, the value that a performance counter monitors exceeds the maximum default monitoring limit. Performance Monitor detects this overflow and disables the performance counter for the corresponding Commerce Server process.

Resolution

Warning If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that you can solve problems that result from using Registry Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.

To resolve this problem, follow these steps:
1.Click Start, and then click Run.
2.In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK to start Registry Editor.
3.In Registry Editor, locate the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services
4.Under this key, locate the following subkeys, and then change the value of Disable Performance Counters for each subkey to 0 or delete the subkey:
CS<version>: Pipelines\Performance
CSCustomPerf\Performance
CSDWPerf\Performance
CSMarketingPerf\Performance
CSUPMPerf\Performance
