A "The Target can not handle this type of document" error message appears when you try to copy a file in Windows XP SP1 or in Windows Server 2003

Symptoms

On a computer where either Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 1 (SP1) or Microsoft Windows Server 2003 has been installed, you receive an error message when you perform the following actions:
1.Start a Windows program such as Notepad or a Microsoft Office program.
2.On the File menu, click Open or Save As.
3.Locate and then open a folder that is not the My Documents folder.
4.Right-click a file in the open folder, click Send To, and then click either My Documents, the floppy drive, or any external drive that is listed.
You receive the following error message:
The Target can not handle this type of document.
If the file already exists in the My Documents folder, you are prompted to replace the file, and then you receive the error message.

You can ignore this error message. The file has been copied correctly.
