You cannot apply the Disable Windows Explorer's default context menu policy after you install Internet Explorer 6 SP1

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

When you apply the Disable Windows Explorer's default context menu policy, the policy does not work correctly. If you apply the policy and then click the right mouse button in the left pane of Windows Explorer, the shortcut menu appears. (In Windows Explorer, the left pane appears only when you use Folders view.)

Note In Microsoft Windows XP and in Microsoft Windows Server 2003, this policy is named Remove Windows Explorer's default context menu. The policy prevents shortcut menus from appearing when you right-click items in Windows Explorer.
